ProxiCall ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile application, business dashboard, and marketing website (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password hash
- Business profile data: business name, address, operating hours, menu items, photos, and job listings
- User-generated content: images, descriptions, and other materials you upload
- Payment information: billing details processed securely by Stripe — we never store raw card numbers
- Location and proximity data: GPS coordinates and WiFi network identifiers (BSSID/SSID) collected while the app is in use or running in the background, solely to enable proximity detection features you have enabled
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers
- Usage data: features accessed, pages visited, session duration, and interaction patterns
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- Enable proximity detection so businesses can reach nearby customers via notifications
- Process payments and send transaction confirmations
- Send technical notices, security alerts, and administrative messages
- Respond to support requests and feedback
- Analyse usage trends to improve performance and user experience
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With your explicit consent
- With trusted service providers (Supabase, Stripe, Sentry) who process data strictly on our behalf under data processing agreements
- To comply with a valid legal obligation, court order, or governmental request
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of ProxiCall, our users, or the public
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — you will be notified before data is transferred
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data. These include TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive data, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and automated vulnerability scanning. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong password and to report any security concerns to security@proxicall.app.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records required for tax compliance). Location and proximity data used solely for real-time detection is not retained beyond the session in which it was collected.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right of rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data

8. Location Data
ProxiCall uses WiFi network scanning and GPS geolocation to determine when you are near a registered business. This functionality requires your explicit permission. You can withdraw this permission at any time in your device settings, which will disable proximity-based features. We do not share your real-time location with any third party. Location data is used only to match you to nearby businesses in real time and is not stored for tracking or profiling purposes.

10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us at privacy@proxicall.app and we will delete it promptly.

ProxiCall operates globally and your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.
